Evergreen, upright, prickly shrub to 3 m high and 1.5 m wide in cool climates, to 6 m high in warm climates. Prefers some shade and a sheltered position, in well-drained soil. Needs regular watering and feeding with citrus food to fruit well. Protect from citrus gall wasp and other citrus pests. Seedling grown trees are a much cheaper option than grafted ones, and still usually fruit very well.
As this is a seedling grown tree, fruits may be green, yellow, pink or red. They are filled with ‘citrus caviar’ which can be used fresh in salads, fruit salads, to garnish fish or desserts, or in drinks. Fruits can be cooked into preserves, sliced and dried or frozen for later use.
Plant orders are shipped via express post early in the week so the plant arrives in the best possible condition and is not left over the weekend in a transport depot.
Please unpack as soon as possible and water well.
