Beautiful and iconic, Kangaroo Grass makes a statement in any garden.
A summer growing grass to 75 cm up to a metre high with good conditions, Kangaroo Grass is hardy in a wide variety of soils although prefers full sun. Seed heads turn a rich red brown in late summer and can be picked to enjoy indoors, lasting sometime.

After your plant has been growing 2-3 years, cut back or burn the old leaves in late winter to rejuvenate your plant and stimulate new growth. If grown as a lawn, don't cut too low - leave grass 50 cm high.
Kangaroo Grass is used by indigenous Australians for weaving and the seeds can be ground into flour to make bread.
There are a limited number of these plants for sale in 50mm square plastic tubes.
