Evergreen groundcover with grey or green foliage, to 1 m wide and up to 1 m high if clambering over other plants or logs. Grows in sun or part shade, somewhat tolerant of saline soils, frost tolerant, also drought tolerant once established. Leaves are arrowhead shaped and semi-succulent. Native to south-eastern Australia.
Uses
Tiny abundant fruits appear in autumn, are yellow or red when ripe, with a salty-sweet taste. Snack on fruits in the garden or add to salads or fruit salads. Leaf tips can be eaten raw although are strong tasting. Leaves can be boiled and eaten as greens.
Plant orders are shipped via express post early in the week so the plant arrives in the best possible condition and is not left over the weekend in a transport depot.
Please unpack as soon as possible and water well.
